Construction Site Visit: Two Projects, Two Stages

Join us for a behind-the-scenes visit to two neighbouring residential projects in West London, offering a practical look at how design decisions become built spaces.

Hosted by Corebud, the contractor delivering both projects, the visit will explore two substantial house renovations, each involving a two-storey extension, at different stages of construction.

At the time of the visit, one project is expected to be at the groundwork and foundation stage. The other, involving more extensive internal reconstruction of the existing house, is expected to be entering the finishing stage. Together, they offer an opportunity to see how early construction decisions shape the spaces and details that follow.

During the visit, the Corebud team will share:

• How they coordinate trades, architects, engineers and designers, manage the programme and keep decisions moving.
• The software and digital tools they use to manage drawings, communication and site progress.
• Practical examples of coordinating structure, building services and interior details.
• Challenges encountered on these projects, the solutions developed and lessons learned.
• How designers and contractors can work together to resolve issues early and maintain the design intent throughout construction.

Members will walk through both sites, compare project drawings with work in progress and discuss real decisions with the team delivering the work.
