Masterclass Overview

Pricing is one of the most commercially critical decisions inside an interior design studio, yet it is often approached emotionally rather than strategically.

Many designers price based on comparison, instinct or fear of losing the project. Proposals become long, unclear or inconsistent. Margins shrink. Scope creeps. And profitability depends on luck rather than structure.

This masterclass focuses on bringing discipline and precision to your pricing and proposals. We explore how to build a fee structure rooted in operational reality, project complexity and value delivered. You will learn how to present proposals that feel considered, professional and commercially sound, ensuring your pricing supports growth rather than undermines it.

What You Will Learn

By the end of the masterclass, you will leave with a defined pricing framework and refined proposal structure that you can apply immediately

  • How to calculate and understand the true cost of running your studio, including operational expenses and time allocation.
  • How to structure pricing models that reflect value, scope and risk.
  • How to build clear, professional fee proposals that are easy for clients to understand.
  • How to protect margins and avoid underpricing or scope creep.
  • How to present and justify your fees without overexplaining or discounting.
  • How to align pricing decisions with your long-term studio goals.

Who Should Attend

This masterclass is designed for interior designers who struggle to price projects effectively and convert proposals into confirmed commissions. It’s for those who see their fees questioned, their proposals negotiated down or their margins eroded once the project is underway.

It’s particularly relevant for studio founders who feel uncertain about their fee structure, want healthier margins or find it challenging to articulate and defend the value of their work with clarity and authority.

Whether you are refining an existing pricing model or building one from the ground up, this session will help you build firmer commercial foundations and approach pricing with greater precision and control.
